Outside (Lineman), Inside (Residential, Commercial, Industrial) & Sign Electrician. Our company employs licensed ‘inside electricians’ who are able to perform a wide range of services. These services include installing light fixtures, outlets, switches or re-wiring a whole home.
The first step to your new career is to become an Apprentice Electrician. The best part is – there is no experience required! You need to be at least 18 years old to fill out an Apprentice Application with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Being an apprentice provides necessary on-the-job training that will ease you into the next step of your career. During your apprenticeship, you will acquire at least 4,000 hours or 2 years of training under the guidance of a Wireman, Journeyman or Master Electrician.
Besides on-the-job, paid training, there are electrical training (vocational) schools available to receive classwork/exam preparation.
All trades, especially electricians, are in high demand. This skilled labor shortage will increase each year as more people retire.
